The Importance of Body Shape
The Neptune body shape is inspired by Patrick James Eggle’s celebrated Saluda design. Often described as a baby jumbo, it features a 16 inch lower bout that delivers impressive volume and authority without the physical bulk of a traditional jumbo guitar. The integrated cutaway improves access to the upper frets while slightly reducing overall size, making the Neptune comfortable to handle both seated and standing.
This shape is ideal for players who want strong projection and a commanding acoustic voice without sacrificing playability.
Tonewoods And Tonal Character
Solid mango wood is a fascinating and highly musical tonewood. Indonesian mango has a lighter natural base colour than its Hawaiian counterpart, making it ideal for lighter translucent finishes such as moondust grey. Tonally, mango sits between hardwood and softwood, sharing characteristics with mahogany, koa, and trembesi.
Faith carefully selects the stiffest mango boards to ensure excellent resonance and clarity. The result is a guitar with strong upper bass response, a well supported midrange, and a slightly softened high end, producing a warm, deep, and characterful voice that rewards expressive playing.
Design And Appointments
This model features a translucent onyx black stain beneath the moondust finish, paired with flamed maple binding and stripy ebony fittings. Ebony is used for the fingerboard, bridge, and headplate, contributing to both durability and tonal focus. The ergonomic maple forearm contour not only enhances comfort but also elevates the overall visual impact of the instrument.

Electronics
Amplification is handled by the Fishman INK3 preamp and Sonicore undersaddle pickup system. The discreet side mounted preamp includes a built in tuner and three band EQ, allowing precise tonal shaping for live and studio use.
The output jack, battery compartment, and strap button are neatly integrated into the end of the guitar for a clean and practical setup.
