The Importance of Body Shape
The Neptune body shape is inspired by Patrick James Eggle’s renowned Saluda design. Often described as a baby jumbo, it features a 16 inch lower bout that delivers impressive volume and projection without the physical bulk of a traditional 17 inch jumbo guitar.
The integrated cutaway improves access to the upper frets and slightly reduces the overall size, making the Neptune FX Natural Gold comfortable to play both seated and standing. This shape is ideal for players who want strong acoustic authority without sacrificing playability.
Tonewoods And Tonal Character
Indonesian mango typically has a naturally light brown base colour, particularly compared to Hawaiian mango varieties. This lighter base tone allows the natural grain to be beautifully enhanced with lighter translucent finishes, as seen on the Natural Gold model.
Mango is considered a hybrid tonewood, sharing characteristics with mahogany, koa, and trembesi. Faith carefully selects the stiffest boards available to ensure excellent resonance and clarity. Tonally, mango delivers strong upper bass response, a focused midrange, and a gently rolled high end, resulting in a warm, deep, and characterful voice.
Design And Appointments
This FX Natural Gold model is visually captivating, featuring a deep golden red lacquer finish, flamed maple binding, and distinctive ebony fittings that often display striking striped grain patterns. Ebony is used throughout the fingerboard, bridge, and headplate, contributing to tonal focus and long term durability.
Every design element works together to create an instrument that looks and sounds unlike anything else.
Electronics
Amplification is handled by the Fishman INK3 preamp and undersaddle piezo pickup system. The discreet side mounted preamp features a built in tuner and three band EQ, allowing precise tonal shaping for live performance or studio use.
The output jack, battery compartment, and strap button are neatly integrated into the end of the guitar for a clean and practical setup.
Case Included
To ensure long term protection, the Faith Neptune FX Natural Gold is supplied with a premium woodshell hardcase featuring a padded plush interior. We recommend storing the guitar in its hardcase whenever it is not in use.
