The Importance of Body Shape

For players seeking acoustic power and projection, the Neptune body shape is the obvious choice. Designed by Patrick James Eggle, this Baby Jumbo shape features a 16 inch lower bout, making it more manageable than a traditional jumbo while still delivering impressive volume and presence.

The traditional cutaway design ensures easy access to the upper frets, allowing lead lines, solos, and complex chord voicings to be played comfortably and confidently.

Tonewoods And Tonal Character

The top, back and sides are crafted from solid Indonesian mahogany, finished with a translucent Thru Black stain. This treatment deepens the visual character of the wood while allowing the natural grain to remain clearly visible. When light catches the surface, subtle copper and amber hues emerge, giving the guitar a distinctive and almost metallic depth.

Tonally, solid mahogany offers focused mids, smooth highs, and controlled low end, making this guitar ideal for strong rhythmic playing and dynamic strumming.

Design And Appointments

The Neptune Thru Black features upgraded black ABS binding with cream purfling, adding contrast and refinement to the overall look. A solid figured ebony pickguard provides a premium visual accent and is reserved for a select number of Faith models.

Macassan figured ebony is used throughout for the fingerboard, bridge, and headplate, delivering durability, smooth playability, and excellent tonal transfer.

Electronics

Amplified performance is handled by the Fishman Sonitone Sonicore system. This discreet undersaddle piezo pickup is controlled by active volume and tone wheels mounted just inside the soundhole, preserving the guitar’s traditional appearance while delivering a natural and responsive amplified tone.

This system is ideal for live performance, rehearsal, and recording situations.

Included Gigbag

The Faith Nexus Neptune Thru Black is supplied with a padded gigbag featuring sturdy handles, backpack straps, and an accessory pocket. An optional hardcase upgrade is available for players who require additional protection while touring or travelling.
