The lightweight mahogany construction and set neck give it a sleek and effortless feel while the dual humbucker setup provides plenty of punch, sustain and versatility. Whether you’re after thick classic-rock crunch, bluesy overdrive or something with considerably more bite, this is a guitar that responds naturally when you turn up the gain.
This 2023 example is in great used condition. There is no fret wear, although the hardware and pickup covers show some slight tarnish. The insert from the bridge volume control is missing, while there are some marks to the finish around the neck strap button where the strap has made contact. A few scratches and impressions can also be found across the body and on the back of the neck, all consistent with fair use.
It remains a great-looking, characterful SG with plenty of life left in it. A straightforward, hard-working rock guitar with that unmistakable Epiphone SG presence.
