Gibson Les Paul Deluxe 1976 Electric Guitar, Cherry Sunburst with Hard Case (pre-owned)

A vintage original with stories to tell.

A genuine slice of Gibson’s seventies era, this ‘76 Deluxe brings together the unmistakable Les Paul silhouette, mini humbuckers and a change from the traditional construction along with the seasoned appeal that only decades of playing can deliver.

The Les Paul Deluxe has earned its place in Gibson history, offering a distinctive take on the legendary formula. This example has the honest, lived-in appearance of a vintage instrument that has seen some action but doesn’t feel abused or tired, making it an appealing choice for players who prefer their guitars with a little history rather than showroom perfection.

All the sustain and growl of a Gibson remains, but the mini humbuckers add slight snap and chime to the voice, closer to a P90.

It remains largely original but the machine heads have been replaced. The hardware shows minimal tarnishing, while the finish carries a few dings and chips, along with a fair amount of buckle rash across the back. Signs of age can also be felt as a slight ridge between the binding and body, continuing along the neck; typical to instruments of this vintage. There is some fret wear and the frets appear to have been re-crowned previously.

This is a player-grade, vintage Gibson, best appreciated for its age, character and authenticity rather than pristine cosmetics. A proper seventies Les Paul Deluxe with plenty of vintage appeal.
