The neck is fast and comfortable, while the trio of single-coil pickups offers everything from sparkling cleans to punchy blues and classic rock tones. Internally, the neck butt is hand-dated 1987 and the pots also date to 1987 but the serial number (‘84) and the body stamps ('83) pre-date final assembly; as commonly seen models from this period.

This guitar is in good, used condition for its age. The frets show no wear, although they appear to have been re-crowned at some point. There are areas where the finish has lifted from parts the maple fingerboard, most noticeably around the 1st and 12th fret positions. The body carries a fair number of marks and small impressions consistent with a well-played instrument of this vintage, but there are no large or unsightly areas of damage.
