The Vater VWTS Wiretap Standard Brushes are non-retractable and feature a soft rubber grip. The butt end of the brushes are fitted with a metal rivet for cymbal scrapes. The Wiretap series of brushes feature a unique hard tap surface behind the brush-spread which helps prevent excessive wear on the brushes and the drum heads. It also allows for a more solid sound when striking the drum.
