Description
Short Scale. Deep Punch.
Pink, punchy and unmistakably Gretsch, the Junior Jet II brings big character to a compact short-scale bass.
Finished in Shell Pink, this G2220 Electromatic Junior Jet II has all the retro appeal you could want, combining its distinctive body shape with a shorter 30.3-inch scale that makes it comfortable, immediate and wonderfully easy to play. The result is a bass with plenty of attitude without the size traditional long-scale instrument.
Its Gretsch single coil pickups gives the Junior Jet II a focused, gutsy voice that suits everything from vintage-inspired rock ’n’ roll and garage tones to punchier modern bass lines. The simple control layout keeps things direct, letting the character of the instrument do the talking.
Condition is excellent, with no fret wear and only slight tarnish to the hardware. There is some surface swirling and a few handling marks to the finish, but nothing that detracts from its striking Shell Pink appearance.
A great choice for players after something compact and distinctive, or anyone who simply wants a bass with a little more personality than the usual black or sunburst fare. The Junior Jet II proves that short scale certainly doesn’t have to mean short on character.
