This Fender Custom Shop ’61 Strat has an awesome heavy relic Surf Green finish and delivers the magic in spades. It looks and feels every inch the road-worn classic, with the kind of character you’d expect from a guitar that’s spent decades on stages and in studios. The Surf Green finish is perfectly faded and broken in, paired with vintage styling that nails the unmistakable early 60s vibe.
As you’d expect from the Fender Custom Shop, the craftsmanship is exceptional. The slim 60s style neck profile sits comfortably in the hand, while the trio of Custom Shop single coil pickups provide all the sparkle, bite and clarity that made the Stratocaster a legend. From glassy cleans to snarling blues leads, it delivers the unmistakable Strat tone with effortless style.
Condition wise, it remains in great shape with only the earliest signs of fret wear beginning to appear, leaving plenty of life left for years of playing. The guitar includes its original Custom Shop certificate, though the traveller is not present.
