Certain guitars wear their years with quiet confidence and this 1993 American Standard Stratocaster is very much one of them. Finished in the rarely seen Caribbean Mist, it has that unmistakable early ’90s Fender feel; solid, familiar and built to be played rather than admired from a distance. The Caribbean Mist finish is not so often seen and certainly catches the eye!

Decades of use have left honest signs of life throughout. There is some fret wear, most noticeable in the lower positions, along with light hardware tarnish that comes naturally with age. Discolouration is present around the pickguard area, most evident on the pickup covers, lending a subtly aged look. A small chip to the finish in the back sits on the edge near the belly cut, while the finish shows areas of distress and fine splitting along the treble side of the fingerboard. A handful of other light marks and impressions complete the picture.

Overall, this is a genuinely played Strat with real character rather than artificial relicing. It feels broken-in, resonant and ready to keep doing what it was made for… making music!
