100 Percent Maple Shell Construction

The Superstar Classic features carefully engineered maple shells for warm, balanced tone with excellent clarity and projection.

• Toms, floor toms, and snare drum use 4 ply maple with 2 outer plies of Lacebark Pine at 5 mm
• Bass drum uses 6 ply maple with 2 outer plies of Lacebark Pine at 7 mm

Power Craft II Drumheads

All Superstar Classic kits are fitted with TAMA Power Craft II drumheads, ensuring excellent sound straight out of the box. Integrated ring mufflers on the bass drum head reduce unwanted overtones and remove the need for additional internal muffling.

Star Mount System

TAMA’s Star Mount system is designed to maximise shell resonance by supporting the toms at four points on the batter side hoop. The adjustable bracket eye bolts slide left and right, allowing close tom positioning without contact, even in tight setups.
