Description
A new shade to the Ace of Bass!
Few basses pass the silhouette test as well as a Rickenbacker 4003 and finished in Matte Black, this 2025 example takes that unmistakable look in a darker, more understated direction.
The 4003S delivers the classic Ricky character with its distinctive body shape, powerful presence and beloved sound. It’s a bass that needs little introduction, equally at home holding down a rock groove or adding definition to more adventurous playing.
This example is in great condition, showing only minimal signs of use overall. There is no fret wear and the finish remains clean and well presented. There is one ding on the underside between the output socket and the waist, providing the only notable cosmetic blemish.
The plastic guards have been changed to black, giving the bass an even more stealthy appearance. The original white guards are included, so the choice of look can easily be reversed or kept as a spare.
A fantastic opportunity to pick up a current generation 4003S in a particularly striking finish, with the added versatility of both guard options.
