The best-selling Remo Powerstroke 3 has been an industry standard head for years, helping countless professionals create their perfect sound. The legendary head has now had a makeover with the help of the equally legendary Steve Smith.
The heads are now being fitted with a Black Dot. The added mass on the head helps the head generate a much lower fundamental tone from the drum, but keeps the sound controlled and focused. The attack of the drum is also enhanced and projection is increased. The dot acts like a Remo Falam-Slam and gives a more defined beater sound while adding a longer lifespan and durability to the head.
The coated surface of the head adds even more low-end to the drum in comparison to the clear version.
