K Series Compatibility and Sampling Power
The PC3K8 allows users to tap directly into the extensive library of sounds developed for the K2x and K Series keyboards over the past two decades. It supports loading KRZ, 25 and 26 sample files, as well as WAV and AIFF formats, opening up a huge sonic archive for immediate use.
With 128 MB of onboard flash RAM, user samples remain permanently stored even when the instrument is powered off. Once loaded, samples are available instantly at power up with zero load time, a long requested feature that dramatically improves workflow for live and studio use.
Samples can be loaded via USB from a thumb drive or directly from a computer, making integration into modern setups simple and reliable.

Kurzweil have also integrated the long awaited VA.1 Virtual Analogue Synthesizer directly into the PC3K8. Its power shaped, anti-aliasing oscillators include supersaw, triplesaw, and hard sync waveforms, paired with an expanded selection of classic style filters and non-linear processors.
