Description
The Ibanez Mode Series MDM1300 is a contemporary reimagining of a classic bass design, created to meet the demands of today’s forward thinking players. The Mode series blends the familiar tonal foundations that have shaped countless genres with modern construction, electronics, and ergonomics, delivering a bass that feels instantly recognisable yet thoroughly up to date.
Engineered to bridge the iconic sounds of the past with the evolving inspiration of modern bassists, the MDM1300 excels in both traditional and technically demanding roles. Whether you are locking in solid foundational grooves or exploring expressive, detailed lines, this bass offers the playability and tonal versatility needed to create distinctive and memorable performances.
Main Features
Roasted Maple Neck
The roasted maple neck is heat treated to improve stability, durability, and resistance to moisture and temperature changes. This process ensures consistent performance and a comfortable, confident feel in any playing environment.
Roasted Maple Fretboard
The roasted maple fretboard delivers a balanced attack with rich sustain and a clear, articulate tone. Smoothly curved fretboard edges enhance grip comfort, supporting fluid movement and extended playing sessions.
Medium Stainless Steel Frets
Medium stainless steel frets provide excellent durability and long term reliability. Their smooth surface supports precise articulation and consistent feel over time.
Ash Body
The ash body produces a pleasing brightness with rich sustain, delivering clarity and definition that works equally well in live and studio settings.
Delta S4J Pickups
Delta S4J pickups deliver crisp high end attack, full and punchy mid range, and a tight, powerful low end. Their versatile voicing pairs well with a wide range of amplifiers and effects.
Ibanez Sonitech S Preamp with 3 Band EQ
The Sonitech S preamp is carefully voiced across the entire frequency spectrum and features two selectable three band mid range banks alongside a passive tone control. This design offers exceptional tonal flexibility with intuitive operation.
3 Way Mid Frequency Switch with Hexa Mid System
The Hexa Mid system provides access to two mid range banks, each offering three distinct frequency points. This gives a total of six selectable mid frequencies, allowing precise tonal shaping to suit any musical context.
EQ Bypass Switch
The push pull EQ bypass switch allows instant switching between active EQ and passive operation, adding flexibility and reliability for any performance situation.
Ibanez Aero Light Machine Heads
Aero Light machine heads use Extra Super Duralumin to significantly reduce weight while maintaining tuning accuracy and durability. This improves overall balance and comfort, especially during long gigs.
MR5S Bridge
The MR5S bridge features adjustable saddles that allow variable string spacing by plus or minus 1.5 mm, accommodating different playing styles and preferences.
Luminescent Side Dots
Luminescent side dot markers ensure clear fretboard visibility on dark stages and in low light environments.
Gig Bag Included
Supplied with an Ibanez gig bag designed specifically to fit and protect the MDM1300.
Special Design Features
Super All Access Neck Joint
The Super All Access Neck Joint enhances playability by allowing effortless access to the upper frets, supporting expressive playing across the full range of the instrument.
