Description
The Ibanez Mode Series MDM1000 is a contemporary reimagining of a classic bass design, blending familiar tonal foundations with modern playability and electronics. The Mode series honours the elements that have made this style of bass a mainstay across countless genres, while introducing thoughtful updates to meet the demands of today’s innovative players.
Engineered to bridge the iconic sounds of the past with the evolving inspiration of modern bassists, the MDM1000 excels in both supportive and highly technical roles. From solid, groove focused foundations to articulate, expressive lines, its balanced feel and wide tonal range help players create distinctive and memorable performances in any musical setting.
Main Features
Roasted Maple Neck
The roasted maple neck is heat treated to enhance stability, durability, and resistance to moisture and temperature changes. This ensures consistent performance and a comfortable playing feel in all environments.
Rosewood Fretboard
The rosewood fretboard delivers a well balanced, solid tone with a focused mid range, providing warmth and clarity that suits a wide variety of playing styles.
Medium Stainless Steel Frets
Medium stainless steel frets offer excellent durability and long term reliability, maintaining a smooth feel and precise articulation over time.
Alder Body
The alder body produces a bright, well balanced tone with enhanced resonance and sustain, making it a versatile choice for both live and studio use.
Delta S4J Pickups
Delta S4J pickups provide crisp high end attack, full and punchy mids, and a tight, powerful low end. Their versatile voicing works exceptionally well with a wide range of amplifiers and effects.
Ibanez Sonitech S Preamp with 3 Band EQ
The Sonitech S preamp is carefully voiced across the entire frequency spectrum and features two selectable three band mid range banks alongside a passive tone control. This design delivers exceptional tonal flexibility with intuitive operation.
3 Way Mid Frequency Switch with Hexa Mid System
The Hexa Mid system offers two mid range banks, each with three distinct frequency points, giving a total of six selectable mid frequencies. This allows precise tonal shaping to suit any musical context.
EQ Bypass Switch
The push pull EQ bypass switch enables instant switching between active EQ and passive operation, offering added flexibility and reliability during performance.
Ibanez Aero Light Machine Heads
Aero Light machine heads use Extra Super Duralumin to significantly reduce weight while maintaining tuning accuracy and durability. This improves overall balance and comfort, particularly during long gigs.
MR5S Bridge
The MR5S bridge features adjustable saddles that allow variable string spacing by plus or minus 1.5 mm, accommodating different playing preferences with ease.
Luminescent Side Dots
Luminescent side dot position markers ensure excellent fretboard visibility on dark stages and in low light conditions.
Gig Bag Included
Supplied with an Ibanez gig bag designed specifically to fit and protect the MDM1000.
Special Design Features
Super All Access Neck Joint
