Black Lion Auteur DT desktop microphone preamp

From Black Lion Chicago comes the new and arguably good-looking Auteur DT, a single channel preamplifier designed for microphones and instruments all housed in a neatly compact desktop chassis.

Auteur DT features the same versatile preamp circuit as Black Lion’s Auteur Mk 3, delivering incredible nuance and detail while striking the perfect balance between modern punch and vintage-style analogue flavour.

The single channel preamp serves up 60dB of pure clean gain, suited for any condenser microphone along and also safe with ribbons for lower-volume source recording. To add a professional sheen to instruments including synths and guitars, users can take advantage of the Hi-Z / direct inject input stationed right on the Auteur DT’s front panel for plug and play mono-jack recording.

The Auteur DT combines an ultra-high-speed modern front-end with the vintage delicacy of a transformer-coupled output stage resulting in a big and versatile sound that sits agreeably in any mix.
