These heads are constructed using a quality aluminium rim that has a steel core for extra strength. By using this drumhead that has a built in dampening ring, you will be able to tune your bass drum lower without creating some nasty overtones. Although this drumhead is only a single ply head, it is best used around medium to heavy music.
