The New DTX532k has been revamped with the new DTX502 module, a DTXPAD snare, large hi-hat, and 3-zone cymbal pads.
The new DTX502 module offers 691 drum, percussion, and effect sounds, suitable for any musical situation. It also provides comprehensive training functions, practice songs, and easy MIDI recording. It also features a USB port allowing plug and play control of VSTi software and importing custom wave files.
The DTX502 has twice the wave ROM and over 250 more sounds than its predecessor. It is loaded with new drum and cymbal samples from top VST developers that have been optimised specifically for DTX. The voices inherited from other DTX modules have also been updated for improved playability and sonic realism.
The DTX502 engine has been redesigned to offer the most realistic and natural feel. Using proprietary laser technology, Yamaha have analysed drum strokes and precisely tuned the trigger settings to offer the most accurate and natural response. Other advanced features have also been inherited from higher end models, like cymbal muting, natural cymbal swells and smooth snare rolls.
The hi-hat system of the DTX532k has been designed to reproduce every nuance of your playing. The dual-zone pad detects various styles of playing such as open/close position, closed pedal, and foot splash. It even responds to tip and edge voices for adding really subtle nuances to your beats.
The cymbals have also been updated to 3-zone pads which respond to hits on the bell, bow, and edge. They produce a great rebound feel and a very low acoustic noise, ideal for home practice. They have been designed to sway just like a real cymbal and also offer a choke function 360-degrees around the edge. The choke function also functions before you hit the cymbal.
New training functions have been included to offer you a challenge, regardless of your skill level. The tools help you to work on everything from timing and rhythm to accuracy and endurance. The system even generates a score to help you track your progress as you improve.
