The PRS S2 Series offers the fit, finish, feel, and attention to detail of PRS craftsmanship in a straightforward design. Standing for 'Stevensville 2', S2 Series instruments are made at PRS' Maryland shop blending new design elements and manufacturing techniques with practised quality control and workmanship to create reimagined, fresh guitars that reach a more affordable price for players.
The models in the S2 Series share several key features, including PRS S2 locking tuners, custom-wound pickups, PRS neck shapes, PRS S2 bridges as well as PRS fretwire, nuts, and double-action truss rods. The new asymmetrical, bevelled body shape offers a vintage vibe, and the flatness of the top gives these guitars a big, resonant voice.
A distinctive take on the S2 Mira, this semi-hollow version boasts a chambered all-mahogany body and low output pickups that create a warm, smoky harmonic richness that can overdrive to classic rock tones all with tremendous punch and clarity. Rarely is a guitar reinvented in a way that it equals the original, becoming not just a spin off, but a wholly independent thought. The S2 Mira Semi-Hollow is one such guitar with the sum of the changes resulting in a radical change in personality. Bottom line, the S2 Mira Semi-Hollow will give you distinctive tonal depth and stunning visual appeal.
Whether the S2 Series means your first PRS or an addition to your arsenal, one thing is certain: each model in the PRS S2 Series is a solid American-made guitar that makes no sacrifice in playability or tone!

I've had about 50 electrics over the years, from ES335s to Fender custom shops and core PRS Customs, and this Mira is the best guitar I've ever had. It's light as a feather, incredibly comfortable, perfect build quality. And the sound is just fantastic, crisp, clear, alive. You can tweak the controls and coil taps to get pretty much any sound you want from biting tele to smooth les paul. If you want to spend about £1000 on a versatile guitar you can't go wrong with a Mira, perfect.|
