Needed to update from my Samson Micro Airline due to interference problems. Looked at LOTS of options and was pointed in the direction of V55HS kit - but as this was out of stock at supplier I got a good offer price on the V75HS . It offers even more channels and so you are even more certain to be able to use it without interference (and if applicable to you - to use more of them side by side!) I only wanted one so the upgrade wasn't necessary for me, but I needed the kit urgently so went for it.
I have had to add a couple of extra clips to keep the headset itself in the right position - but this is common to most of the "behind head, tiny wire sets I've seen. Once held in place I can put it on and off easily and it sits comfortably behind both ears once the ear loops are bent to the shape of my ears!
I wound have preferred a single ear mount - but looking at some of these they were really a lot more expansive and so couldn't warrant the extra cost of the Danish, for example/ ... am more than happy with this after only a short time of use - so you will soon get used to it too, and think of how many Danish pastries you can buy with the difference in cost - whilst probably hearing very little difference in sound !!
Both boxes are metal so no plastic to go brittle or to break when someone stands on it or you drop it - good feature.
The first of only two very little down sides I have noticed so far is that when you are about to cough or sniff, you do have to hold the mute button down for at least a second before it mutes - you have to adjust your habit and learn hold your cough for this time ... but be aware that a quick press does nothing. Coming back from mute IS instant. For ME - being as the mute button is recessed and so not easy to accidentally press (presumably the reason for the delay feature here?) I would have preferred instant mute - but that is a tiny thing.
The mic itself gives an excellent reproduction both for my sermons and songs - spoken and sung. I am not an expert nor a geek but I have had instant response form the congregation that it "sounds better today" first time it was used - and having spent time testing it out ... I agree. It is a great little mic with very good feedback and distortion avoidance
Second (and last) minor point (I hope it remains minor) is that I would have felt safer with a slightly more heavy duty wire from mic to transmitter - but I have to assume that it is tiny to keep it from pulling the lightweight headset back - and to keep it "invisible"
Talking of invisible - I got the tan to be as invisible as possible - black is also available but I would wonder why you would want to see a tiny black mic on your face when you can have it less visible - other bigger and more solid headsets are available for the rock star who wants the audience to see which one is singing - for MY use it is tan every time - but Line 6 give the option of black as do many!
I do not use the rack mount feature of the receiver - I just put it on the floor (apparently for best signal it should be raised) and I have had NO problem with it .... I switch on the mains and ... the thing works. Have NOT had time to play with it to see how adaptable it is.
It looks good, sounds good, so far hasn't had any interference from anywhere - and whether I speak loud our shout, sing soft or hard, it takes it and replicates it really well
This is the longest review I've written for anything - which tells me that this is the most thrilled I've been with a purchase!
I am totally delighted with this and think you will be also.
