Absolute music is proud to be a dealer for this new line of British designed and built Eurorack cases in a variety of sizes and real wood finishes.
When I was starting out on my Eurorack journey, one of the things I didn’t really think about too much was a choice of case, it was just something I’d sort out when I needed one. Because, lets face it, the modules are the most exciting things, right? Well, you still gotta put ‘em in something! After a lot of looking around, none of the commercially available cases really appealed so I decided to go down a semi-DIY route and build a custom rack. As my woodworking skills are non-existant, I contacted John Lancaster at StudioRacks with my ideas to see if he could help. StudioRacks were a logical choice for me having had dealings with them before. They’ve been in the custom studio furniture business for years and I’ve always been impressed with the quality of their work. John built me a 12U 104 HP rack with solid Walnut and black rails which has been much admired since I took delivery.
When John told me he was going into the EuroRack case business, I was immediately interested. Under the name of SynthRacks, John and Tobias are building high quality solid wood cases in a variety of finishes and sizes. We are lucky enough to have a 6U 104HP sold Walnut case for our demo system here at Absolute and it really is a beautiful thing to behold. The cases come fitted with aluminium rails and sliding nuts but threaded inserts can be specified if you prefer. Each case also has a cut out panel on the rear which can be used for ventilation or Synthracks can supply a number of precut panels for things such as IEC connectors, audio jacks etc. Please contact us for pricing for any options.
As the cases do not come fitted with any power, we are more than happy to discuss available options and we can also supply and fit these if required. Give us a call on 01202 597180 or email [email protected], we’ll be happy to help!
