    Native Instruments DamageDamage is a new piece of software from Native Instrumentsthat comes with a 30GB library with 58 kits, over 500 individual samples and a load of loops. It specialises in 'dark, aggressive, thrilling and threatening' percussion, perfect for monstrous cinematic tracks, edgy electronic music or full on industrial filth!With samples of things such as exploding cars, vehicles dropped from great heights, cranes, junkyard sounds, etc, Damage gives you access to recordings that would otherwise be very difficult to get your hands on. Damage comes complete with a built-in amp-stepper, a load of gritty effects and an extreme 'Punish' dial, which can add a combination of compression and saturation to a sound.

    As a drummer, not a percussionist, I have often wanted to purchase a set of bongos or congas to play by hand. Today I am more of an electronic drummer than I am acoustic, so the thought of playing an electronic drum full of hand percussion sounds plus a whole load more, with a real drum head seems to be just the thing for me.
