It's that time of year again, with the National Association of Music Merchants show due to take place in California, from 23rd to 26th January. As always, NAMM showcases a plethora of new and exciting products, so we've decided to create a rolling story, which we will update as and when new gear is announced.

Focusrite have just announced a brand new interface, which is designed for recording to iPads and iPad Minis with a lightning port.
The iTrack Dock is a 2-in, 2-out device, which features two of Focusrite's renowned microphone preamps, as well as connections for hooking up a guitar and line level device. It also has the capability to provide phantom power and has outputs for connecting to studio monitors. Of course, there's also a headphone output.
The OD-1X and DS-1X provide new overdrive and distortion tones, bringing the classic OD-1 and DS-1 pedals into a new era.
The ME-80 is a mobile, battery-powered multi-effects pedal that is packed with effects and amp models to allow you to create your ideal tones. Whilst its compact design makes it ideal for the travelling performer, it also features no less than 30 knobs for customising your sounds, making it quick and easy to program.
Roland's RD series of stage pianos have been used by performing artists for over 25 years and now, Roland have announced their latest RD creation, the RD-800.
The RD-800 features an updated look, feel and improved sounds. The keyboard makes use of Roland's latest hammer-action design and it comes packed with a selection of acoustic and electric piano sounds, organs, synth presets and more.
Today, Roland have announced that they will be releasing a new workstation range, consisting of the 61-note semi-weighted FA-06 and the FA-08, with an 88-note Ivory Feel-G keyboard. In fact, we were joined by Gareth from Roland just yesterday, who brought along an FA-06 to demo its features. Check it out in the video below!
Roland have just launched a brand new webpage called 'Aira', along with a video talking about the original TR-808 drum machine, which, although originally designed to provide backing percussion for bands, went on to have a massive impact on dance music as we know it today. For example, the subby bass drum of the TR-8 08 has been sampled to provide basslines for a plethora of tracks over the years. You'll also hear plenty of other sounds from the TR-808 cropping up in tracks, both old and new, as the TR-808's unique character has helped cement its place as one of the most iconic drum synths ever.

The original Ditto pedal was designed as an affordable, no-fuss looper for guitarists. With its simplistic design, it quickly became a huge hit and now, TC Electronics have introduced the heir to the Ditto, called the Ditto X2.
The Ditto X2 features stereo I/O and a two-button interface, allowing for a dedicated stop/clear footswitch and a separate FX button. The FX switch allows the guitarist to trigger either a reverse or half speed loop effect, for getting extra creative.
Apogee Electronics have just announced that they will be releasing updated versions of their JAM and MiC products, with both now capable of recording with a quality of up to 24-bit/96kHz (as opposed to the 48kHz of the original units).
The Apogee JAM 96k allows you to connect your guitar to an iOS device or Mac computer, and record it to your favourite App/software with amazing detail and clarity. The JAM 96k even has an updated circuitry design, which has been created in order to bring out the 'true' tone of your instrument. It also comes with a lightning iOS cable, 30-pin iOS cable, USB Mac cable and quick start guide.
The Apogee MiC 96k is a microphone that you can hook up to your iOS device or Mac in order to record vocals or instruments to your favourite App or DAW. It comes with the same cables as the JAM 96k, but also includes a table top stand and microphone stand adapter.
This month, TC-Helicon announced that they will be releasing the VoiceLive 3, a next generation 3 in 1 multi-effects unit. Compared to the VoiceLive 2, this third generation model introduces next generation hardware processing and a new vocal effects path. It also includes a selection of Guitar FX with stomp box styles taken straight from TC Electronic's popular range of TonePrint pedals.
In addition to this, the VoiceLive 3 features a three-phrase looper, allowing you to build up songs or arrange backing tracks on-the-fly or in the studio.
