We don't have too much information on this one at the moment, but it seems that Propellerhead will soon be launching a brand new iOS app, which is based on the Reason synth engine! Although it isn't as powerful or as feature-packed as the Reason DAW, it is an excellent tool for making music on-the-go when creativity strikes!

iOS Drums
Now, it's fair to say that iOS drum products aren't exactly in abundance! In fact, if it wasn't for the recent NAMM 2012 show, we wouldn't have an iOS drum category at all! However, we've managed to scrape together a couple of relevant products for a very brief article that should hopefully appeal to those with a passion for percussion and an eye for an iOS device!

iOS PRODUCTION & RECORDING PRODUCTS & APPS

iOS Production and Recording
Although the iPad is a fantastic portable device for working on and editing projects on-the-go, the main problem with it is that on its own, it doesn’t feature any way of capturing professional-quality sounds. This is where iOS recording products come in!
As well as products that have been made for the studio with the soul purpose of getting high-quality audio into the iPad, there are also a handful of products and apps out there that help integrate your iPad into your existing computer-based set-up and help you to control production-based applications in more hands-on ways.

NAMM 2012: LINE 6 MOBILE KEYS
Posted on January 19, 2012 by Joe Stachowiak
In preparation for the upcoming NAMM show, Line 6 have announced a new gadget for iOS devices, called 'Mobile Keys'. These new products are essentially portable controller keyboards that hook up to your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad with a standard Apple connector and allow you to control your music apps in a lot more detail because let's face it, as useful as touch screens are, they don't exactly offer the most expressive means of playing a keyboard!
