SONAR X1 PRODUCER REVIEW
Posted on October 5, 2011 by Tony Long

You can read more reviews like this, along with Tony's productions at his personal site -> Tony Long Music.
INTRODUCING SONAR X1 PRODUCER
I have been with Cakewalk Sonar Producer since version 6 and having worked myself through the necessary learning curve of a new DAW, I got to the point where I was very happy with 8.5 and all of the many facilities that it provided. For others, Sonar has always been let down by its interface. With Sonar X1, I want to believe that somewhere underneath this new look is my old familiar Sonar 8.5 and that I know exactly what to do. I think however that I have a bit of a learning to do, as well as some un-learning, especially as I understand that many of the keyboard shortcuts have changed.

TASCAM GB-10 REVIEW
Posted on October 4, 2011 by Joe Stachowiak

Back in the day, if you were a keen guitarist the chances are you would learn your trade by buying a record containing some riffs by your favourite player, sticking it on a rickety turntable and then use your hand to slow the record down so that you could hear the riff in super slow mo! Why does this help? Listening to riffs at full speed can often seem like a bit of a blur for the amateur guitarist… trust me, I’ve only recently started making the effort to learn how to play my guitar ‘properly’ so I am a good person to talk to about this! What was that note there? How many times are they strumming that chord? What just happened? Why am I playing a guitar? Who am I? I’m lost!

NORD WAVE REVIEW
Posted on October 4, 2011 by Joe Stachowiak

This highly entertaining review comes courtesy of Paul Syers...
Timing is everything they say… I mean, who could imagine now that when Frank Whittle built the first jet engine in 1937 it would be kind of overlooked for the first few years of its life… understandable you might say given that the World was a little preoccupied with other events at the time… but amazing nonetheless.
Fast-forward then to mid-late 2008. As the World packed its collective economies into a big box and sent them down the tip for recycling, amid this noise and fluster a little gem arrived quietly on our shores…
