SE ELECTRONICS AT GRAND CHAPEL STUDIOS

Posted on Thu 10 October 2013 in General News

Grand Chapel Studios, built within the walls of a 150 year old Methodist Chapel in central Bedfordshire, opened its doors in April this year. Since opening, it has seen a horde of talented artists come through its doors, including Theo Jackson, Lotte Mullan and Natty.

Whilst at the studio, Natty performed a live version of his track 'Steal Away', which was recorded using a Gemini II dual valve condenser microphone, an sE Rupert Neve RNR1 ribbon mic and sE4 condenser microphone. Check it out in the video below!

That's not all though because Lotte Mullan also gave a live recording, which can be seen and heard in the video below. For her performance, a Voodoo VR1 ribbon microphone was chosen to record her acoustic guitar, along with a Gemini II and Z5600a II for vocals.

Last but not least, jazz songwriter Theo Jackson joined in with the live session recordings, using a selection of sE Electronics microphones, including a Rupert Neve RN17 pencil condenser microphone to record his piano part.
