MOOG MINITAUR REV 2

Posted on Thu 18 October 2012 in General News

Moog Minitaur Revolution 2Moog have recently announced an exciting update to their little analogue bass monster, the Minitaur. This update will be available for free to all existing Minitaur owners and will come installed as standard with all future Minitaurs.

Firstly, this new update will allow customers to create and store 100 presets! Although the presets will be managed using the free Minitaur Editor/Librarian, they will all be stored within the Minitaur and recallable using the hardware interface. This means that you can now store your favourite sounds, or come back and make tweaks later!

The Revolution 2 upgrade also allows you to adjust Decay and Release times independently, although it is also easy to switch back to the legacy mode of operation using the front panel if you prefer.

As if this wasn't enough for, let's not forget, a FREE update, you can now assign the Minitaur's CV and Gate inputs using the Editor/Librarian software!!! The Pitch and Mod CV inputs can be routed to any function on the synth and the Gate input can be routed to any function with on/off toggle behaviour. Plus, the update also allows the Minitaur to work as a CV to MIDI converter, so it can read in CV data and then pass it out as MIDI to control a function on another MIDI device!
