The Focusrite Red range was released in 1994 and included the Red 3 Compressor, which has become famous for being able to retain a natural sound, even when significant compression is being applied.

As such, it has remained the choice of many of the world’s finest mix engineers, such as Chris Lord-Alge, who continues to religiously place his Red 3 over the mix-bus. It remains among Focusrite’s most successful and recognizable hardware products. Encased in half-inch thick red anodized aluminum body, with polished steel top and bottom covers that feature the classic ‘ff’ detailing, the original Red units are unmistakable.

To allow everyone to embrace this audio classic Focusrite released the Red 2 & 3 Plug-in Suite. The Red 2 & Red 3 Plug-in Suite accurately models Focusrite’s classic Red range equalizer and compressor hardware – letting you exploit the originals’ famous sound, conveniently from within your audio software.

Coveted by producers and engineers for their exceptional clarity and versatility, the original Red 2 and Red 3 remain prized fixtures in professional recording studios the world over. Now, you can use these revered pieces, easily and flexibly, in your own mixes for free when purchasing any Scarlett, Saffire, Forte or Clarett Audio interface.

Focusrite are celebrating the release of the Red Plug-in Suite by giving away the final remaining brand new Red 3 Hardware Dual Compressor / Limiter .  They have even had it signed by Phil Dudderidge (Chairman of Focusrite).

To be in with a chance of winning this unit or 1 of 10 Red 1 500 series units as runner up prizes all you need to do is purchase and register any Focusrite interface that comes with the Red 2 & 3 Plug-in Suite (any Saffire, Scarlett, Clarett or Forte) between 1st May 2015 and July 31st 2015 then answer a question that will be emailed to you once you’ve completed your registration. It really is that simple.

Winners will be announced on 3rd August 2015.
