Applied Acoustics Systems announces that its Chromaphone 2 creative percussion synthesizer plugin now supports Native Instrument's NKS extended plug-in format.

As you would expect, NKS enables seamless interaction between AAS Chromaphone 2 and Komplete Kontrol S-Series keyboards and Maschine hardware. The key parameters of the popular plugin have been mapped in order to provide increased control of its analog modeling engine. The new and increased functionality doesn’t stop there, the Chromaphone 2’s entire factory preset library now appears in the powerful tag-based browsers of the Maschine and Komplete Kontrol software.

There is also a new streamlined interface that has been redesigned from the ground up. The new interface divides Chromaphone 2 into three panels: Play presents shortcuts to the performance and effect parameters including bypass switches for quick edits; Edit lets you tweak and create your sound; while FX supplies equalizer, compressor, multi-effect, and reverb processors for a final sheen.

The new Chromaphone 2 plugin from Applied Acoustic Systems also comes with a new selection of modules such as a new Arpeggiator, and a revamped multi-effect processor that features chorus, delay, phaser, flanger, distortion, notch filter, wah-wah, auto-wah, and reverb. Meaning that the Chromaphone is a more versatile and a more deeply involving instrument than before.
