Roland have just launched a brand new webpage called 'Aira', along with a video talking about the original TR-808 drum machine, which, although originally designed to provide backing percussion for bands, went on to have a massive impact on dance music as we know it today. For example, the subby bass drum of the TR-8 08 has been sampled to provide basslines for a plethora of tracks over the years. You'll also hear plenty of other sounds from the TR-808 cropping up in tracks, both old and new, as the TR-808's unique character has helped cement its place as one of the most iconic drum synths ever.

So... what do you think this brand new product might be?

Roland will be releasing brand new teaser videos over the next few weeks and we'll be keeping you up to date with them all. However, you can also CLICK HERE to visit the official Aira webpage.
