Teddy Riley... there's only one word to describe him: 'legend'! If you're a fan of R&B groups Guy and Blackstreet, then Teddy was responsible for forming them! If you like Michael Jackson then Teddy co-produced and co-engineered his Dangerous album. There's a lot more that Teddy has worked on to boot and so when Focusrite Novation heard that he was a huge fan of their products and was using them in Future Studios 2, they decided to head on over and find out more. He even played a brand new version of Guy's 1988 hit 'Teddy's Jam' on the MiniNova!
The Novation MiniNova is a compact synthesiser with mini keys and the same sound engine as its powerful bigger brother, the UltraNova. It features 256 onboard sounds, a number of unique 'Animate' buttons, which allow you to make quick changes to sounds (great for live performance) as well as a matrix design for sound-shaping, plus a gooseneck microphone for making use of the onboard vocoder!
Novation SL MkII MIDI controller keyboards come in three different sizes, with 25, 49 and 61 keys. All come packed with a host of hands-on controls, which you can easily map to your software using the highly-intuitive Automap software that comes with them. All of these controllers also have fantastic feeling keybeds.
Last but not least, the Focusrite 2802 is an analogue recording console that can also be used as a DAW controller. It features a host of pro-quality inputs and outputs, transport controls, a jog wheel, motorised faders and plenty more to help you get the best out of your mixes.
