There's something about Novation products that seems to inspire people to create exciting performance videos. In the video below, KillTheRobot grabs a Launchkey Mini, hooks it up to a computer running Ableton Live 9 and... well... check it out for yourself!

The Novation Launchkey Mini is a compact MIDI controller keyboard with 25 mini keys, 16 launch pads and 8 assignable dials. It comes with Ableton Live Lite, as well as Novation's Bass Station and V-Station software synths. Therefore, even if you don't already own any software, you can still get up and running straight away by hooking the Launchkey Mini up to your computer via USB.

Although the tri-colour launch pads make the Launchkey Mini especially handy for working with Ableton Live software and its clip-based matrix design, the Launchkey Mini is also compatible with all other big name DAWs, including Cubase, FL Studio, Reason, Logic and Pro Tools. You can even hook it up to an iPad using the appropriate adapter (sold separately) and use it to control your favourite Apps, such as Novation's free Launchkey and Launchpad Apps.
