Alesis announce two new interfaces at NAMM 2013: the iO Hub and the Control Hub. The Alesis iO Hub is a 2-channel USB audio interface that is also compatible with iOS devices (iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch), whereas the Control Hub is essentially a MIDI interface with an audio output (also compatible with a computer via USB or iOS devices).
The Alesis iO Hub features two XLR/1/4" jack combo inputs with individual gain controls and it can connect to an iOS device using Apple's new Lightening connector. It also features phantom power for using condenser microphones and a switch for direct (zero-latency) monitoring. It is powered either by a USB connection or your iOS device, making it extremely portable, although it does require a standard 9V battery to supply phantom power.
The Alesis Control Hub features a single MIDI input and output. Just like the iO Hub it connects to your computer via USB or to your iOS device via Apple's new Lightning connector. The Control Hub can connect to pretty much any MIDI gear you want and it also handily includes headphone and stereo 1/4" jack audio outputs. The Alesis Control Hub is also powered via USB or iOS so there is no need for a power supply.
