Yamaha Announce New DTX Kits
At NAMM 2016, Yamaha celebrates its DTX e-drum series by introducing three new stunning models; the DTX920k, 760k & 720k – ranging from professional kits to beginner-friendly sets. New and improved DTX-PADs allow an ultra-realistic playing experience. In addition, the new Kick Pad KP100 with its more responsive head, enhances every single performance. With the DTX920k Yamaha introduces the ultimate e-drum flagship: This kit delivers electronic drums on an absolutely professional level. The successful DTX700 series offers two new sets; On the top end there’s the DTX760k And then the DTX720k is shown as an ideal ‘compact and complete’ solution. For a convenient editing of all parameters of every drum trigger module Yamaha also introduces the DTX700 Touch App for Apple iPhone® and iPad®.
DTX920k – the choice of the pros
new drum kit the DTX920k is set up with the DTX900M Drum Trigger Module in its centre and is fully equipped with DTX-PAD drum pads. It is versatile and professional in every sense and feature. The new Kick Pad KP100 boasts an improved feel with its more responsive head and can easily accommodate a double foot pedal. Although large in sounds and features, it is compact in size thanks to the RS700, an electronic drum rack born from Yamaha’s extensive drum manufacturing division.
DTX760k – the new top-model of the DTX700 series
With the new DTX760k the DTX700 series gets a stunning top model. The DTX760k Electronic Drum Kit offers state-of-the-art drum sounds for everyone. The DTX700 module is the powerhouse of the kit, it is equipped with the most professional DTX-PADs Yamaha has ever created: The 12-inch, 3-zone Snare Pad XP120SD and three 10-inch Tom Pads XP100T. Together with the Hi-Hat Pad, mounted on a normal Hi-Hat stand, three Cymbal Pads and the KP100 Kick Pad, this kit is a dream come true.
DTX720k – the compact and complete solution
The DTX700 series has two new members: The DTX720k Electronic Drum Kit offers the same professional drum sounds as the new DTX760k, having the same DTX700 module as its heart and brain. However, it uses the newest model of Yamaha‘s DTX-PAD: The 8.5-inch, 3-zone Pad XP80 as snare and three 7.5-inch XP70 Pads as toms, all attached to the brand-new RS502 rack system. The result is an even more compact kit that maintains the same great professional feel & sound.
