M-AUDIO GO FOR THE THREE-WAY! IT'S THE M3-8

M-Audio have entered the three-way studio monitor market by releasing the gorgeous new M3-8 speakers! With a predicted retail price of under £500 a pair, the M3-8s provide an excellent opportunity for anyone on a budget to own a pair of three-ways. Plus, because they are active, there is no need to purchase an additional amplifier to use them.
The first thing that jumps out at you with the M-Audio M3-8 is that real-wood baffle, which as well as looking uber-professional also provides for optimised internal bracing.
The M-Audio M3-8 cleverly fits a three-way design into a traditional two-way cabinet by placing the 1 inch silk dome tweeter at the centre of the 5 inch woven Kevlar mid-frequency driver. This design also helps provide superior imaging as the sounds are all emanating from around the same point.

The M-Audio M3-8 features a tri-amp Class A/B power design with 220 Watts total power. It also features a flexible range of input connections, including XLR, 1/4" balanced jack and unbalanced RCA, so you will have no problems incorporating these into your current set-up.
Finally the M-Audio M3-8 features 3-band EQ with bypass and a switchable low cut filter for tweaking the speaker's response to your environment and for incorporating a pair of them with a sub for increased bass response. They also have rear-mounted volume and power controls.
