Arturia have just announced a very exciting software product indeed! The 'Vintage Drum Machines' software includes 30 fully-editable vintage drum machine emulations (including the famous TR-808 and TR-909), for an almost unbelievable price of £89!
Vintage Drum Machines is actually a piece of special edition Spark software, which has been specially designed to work with the Arturia Spark hybrid drum machine controller. However, whilst using the software with the Spark controller will inevitably speed up your work flow and make music-making more hands-on, the good news for those of us that don't own a Spark is that you can also use the software in standalone mode or as a plug-in!
The Vintage Drum Machines software includes 30 virtual emulations of the most famous drum machines ever made! Yes, we know, you can already get samples from most of them in sample packs, but unlike sample packs, the Arturia models actually emulate the original instruments, meaning that all the sounds are fully editable. Plus, the fact that they all share a common interface means that you only have one set of controls to get used to, making beat-programming easier and more fun!
Included in the Vintage Drum Machines package are: TR-606, TR-626, TR-707, TR-727, TR-808, TR- 909, Roland CR-78, Korg Minipops 7, Ace Tone Rhythm Ace FR-XXXX, Yamaha MR-10, Maestro Rhythm King MRK 2, Boss DR-55, Casio VL Tone and SK1, Korg DDM-110 and 220, Simmons SDS, Phatwerk, Micromatix, EMU SP 12, Roland R8, EMU Drumulator, Oberheim DMX, Sequential Circuits Drumtrax, Korg KPR 77, Kawai R-100, Linn Drum, LINN 9000, Casio RZ1, Yamaha RX5, Pulsator and the Dirty-909.
