sE X1 Condenser MicAt the end of last year, a group of industry professionals gathered to blind test a selection of professional condenser mics from some of the world's biggest brands. The aim was to compare the sound quality of each mic in a way where judgment could not be swayed by brand or appearance.

The four mics that were tested were the sE Electronics sE X1, the Rode NT1a, the Neumann TLM 102 and the AKG P220. You can read the results of the experiment HERE!

sE Electronics are going to be giving away a free sE X1 microphone every month for the next 6 months (February - July). At the start of each month, sE Electronics will ask a new question that relates to the mic test article. You only need to enter once to put yourself in with a chance of winning, but the more times you enter, the greater your chance of winning will be!

For full information on the competition and to view this month's question, click HERE to visit the official sE Electronics website.

1 Response to WIN AN sE X1 MIC

  • Man o man that mic would up my game to a level that I embarrassingly at my age I am never going to be able to obtain again without pixie dust and magic.. oh well, we can always dream. The mic that I use now for my desktop studio is a AKG 452 EB (good for horns.. vocals.. not so much) I have had since the mid 70s.. still in perfect condition.. I still have original case and accessory's ... so if by some twist of fate this mic did end up in my lap, it would have the very best home possible for as long as I am around to protect it.
