How many mic’s are in your mic locker?
There are hundreds of microphones to choose from, and making that choice can be a difficult decision – will that mic suit my voice? Will it suit the female artist I’m recording tomorrow? Will it give me the tone I’m after for this particular recording?
The likely answer to these questions is ‘I don’t know’ – until you try it in session. That’s one reason why most studios will have a selection of microphones, and choose the one that works best for the particular task at hand.
Enter Antelope Audio microphone modelling technology…

What can I say about Marshall amps that hasn’t been said since Mr Marshall himself brought to life amplifiers from his small shop in Hanwell, London for the likes of Pete Townshend, Richie Blackmore, and Big Jim Sullivan in the early 60s?
The answer is: not a great deal… but let’s have a little refresh on the history, the origins of the brand, the journey and ultimately where we are today with probably the biggest name in Rock ’n’ Roll.

I've been fortunate enough to have had the past couple of weeks off and have been enjoying the sunshine. All good things must come to an end but upon walking back into the shop I was presented with a guitar brand that I had never heard of before. These are Vola guitars, masterbuilt in Japan.

OS Acoustics are a new comer to the world of studio monitors, but have arrived with a bang, their flagship monitor, the DB7, is every bit as good as its contemporaries and should be seriously considered for demo.
