The Scarlett 18i20 is a beautifully crafted audio/MIDI interface with 8 fantastic-sounding microphone preamps, 10 analogue line outputs, plus a host of digital connectivity, offering 18 inputs and 20 outputs in total! It's an ideal product for any home studio that requires plenty of connectivity.
The Reflexion Filter essentially acts as a portable vocal booth, reducing unwanted acoustic artefacts such as sonic reflections from surfaces in the room. This allows you to achieve a dry recording, so that you can then process it as you desire to fit in with the rest of your mix. CLICK HERE to watch a video detailing why the Reflexion Filter is so successful and to find out more about the different versions of the Reflexion Filter.
Read on to find out which microphones are included in the giveaway. Offer ends on 31st July 2013*.

So, you've just upgraded to Pro Tools 11, you've loaded everything up, you're excited to get going but wait... what's this? None of your third-party plug-ins are working? What on earth is going on? Let our Pro Tools and HD expert Tom explain...
For anyone who hasn't heard of M4SONIC, you seriously need to check out the video below. Based in Adelaide, Australia, this classically trained pianist found that his skills transferred well over to the Novation Launchpad, where he was able to trigger drum samples with one hand and a melody with the other. This takes some serious skills and co-ordination and as he explains in this interview, a LOAD of practice!
In this interview with Beatport, M4SONIC explains how his original video (CLICK HERE to watch it) went viral after he sent it to Novation and how it's lead to him being asked to produce a remix for Empire of the Sun, an act that he used to listen to as a teenager. In the video below he demonstrates his skills by performing his remix live on two Novation Launchpad S controllers.
With the resurgence of the original NYC House/Garage sound in the 21st century fuelled heavily by the likes of new faces such as Maya Jane Coles, Disclosure & Bicep, first generation production legends like Marc 'MK' Kinchen have recently resurfaced, sought after on remix and DJ duties by the 21st century house generation.
In the early nineties, Kinchen was responsible for seminal House classic 'Burning' and the crossover classic mix of Push the Feeling On and he has since gone on to produce for virtually everyone from Pitbull, Will Smith and Céline Dion (giving her the only Billboard Dance Chart placing of her career) & created the scores for hit movies such as "Sharks Tale".
Yamaha's new range of HS monitors are designed to carry on the philosophy of the iconic NS-10s - if your mixes sound good on these speakers, they will sound good anywhere! They were even designed by the same person as the legendary NS-10s! However, rather than colouring your mix as the original NS-10s did (which made them good as a secondary pair of reference monitors but not ideal for use as a primary pair), Yamaha HS monitors give an accurate representation of your tracks, allowing you to make confident decisions about how best to make tweaks in order to get them sounding professional. Of course, referencing your mix on as many systems as possible is still advisable, including poorer systems that colour your tracks, but having a set of monitors that give a 'true' representation is always the most important ingredient of any mixing studio.
Feeling stressed? Take five minutes out to listen to this fantastic new song by the Stereophonics because who doesn't love the voice of Kelly Jones? The track is taken from their new album ‘Graffiti On The Train’ and the video below shows footage of the recording process. The track in the video is actually a special studio version, as featured on a special Deluxe version of the album.
The producer behind the Graffiti On The Train album, Jim Lowe, gave an interview to sE Electronics, as the Gemini II dual-valve condenser microphone was used extensively on the album. You can even see it in the video below! CLICK HERE to read the full interview with Jim.
Trash 2 is iZotope's awesome distortion plug-in.
