5 Watt, 1 x ECC83, 1 x 12BH7
The HT METAL 5 is an innovative 5 Watt, footswitchable 2 channel valve combo that uses 1 x ECC83 and 1 x 12BH7 valves.
The patented ISF control works with the Bass, Middle and Treble controls to give you access to infinite new sound possibilities from the USA to the UK and everywhere in-between. This fully interactive control allows you to infinitely adjust the response of the tone control network between any of the traditional voicings. In this way you can design your own sound and truly find the sound in your head.
Two Footswitchable Channels
The HT METAL 5 has two channels available for selection, a Clean channel and an Overdrive channel. Using the Volume control while on the Clean channel you are able to deliver everything from a clean sound through to a crunch tone. Alternatively you can select the Overdrive channel and again using the Gain control, change from a clean sound on the edge of breakup right through to a distorted metal lead tone. The footswitch is included.
Unique Push-pull Power Amp Design
The HT METAL 5 power amplifier is a low powered push-pull design which produces the crunch and break-up characteristics of a traditional 100W output stage, but at a much lower volume. This is achieved by the use of a 12BH7 dual triode valve in push-pull configuration producing 5 Watts output, rich in valve harmonics and compression, sounding full and toneful even at the lowest volume level.
12 inch Blackbird 50 Speaker
The HT METAL 5 features a Blackstar custom-voiced 12 inch Blackbird 50 speaker.
Stereo MP3 / Line Input
A stereo MP3/Line Input has been added to the HT METAL 5 allowing the user to play a backing track or similar, through the amp while practising / recording.
External Speaker Output
The external speaker output on the HT METAL 5 allows you to connect further extension cabinets. The output marked '1 x 16 Ohm' is for the connection of a single 16 Ohm extension speaker cabinet (or the internal loudspeaker of the HT-5 combo). The outputs marked '1 x 8 Ohm or 2 x 16 Ohm' are for the connection of either a single 8 Ohm extension cabinet or two 16 Ohm cabinets. Also, the internal loudspeaker of the HT-5 combo can be plugged in here if it is used with a 16 Ohm extension cabinet.
The HT METAL 5's Reverb control sets the overall level of the reverb effect. Carefully voiced to sound great on both the Clean and Overdrive channel, it's perfect for adding a sense of space and 'size'.
The effects loop allows you to connect effects pedals or other professional equipment using the return and send connections. The Effects Loop Level switch sets the effects loop to either +4dBV/-10dBV, which enables you to use it with either professional equipment (+4dBV setting), or with guitar level effects such as effects pedals (-10dBV setting).
