The AE22 marks Acoustic Energy's return to its roots in the studio environment.
It's been 15 years since we created our last ‘Pro’ speaker (the AE2) and in that time we have learned much about the needs, wants and demands of the modern studio engineer.
In developing the AE22 we set about designing the speaker from the ground up to fulfill its purpose as a highly accurate recording monitor which would better both contemporary and classic designs currently in use as industry ‘standards’. During our testing we trialled the AE22's at some of the UK's leading studio's with some of the top recording engineers in the business. The results exeeded even our own expectations, confirming beyond doubt that we had achieved our goal.
Designed to be used on a mixing desk at ear level as a near-field monitor, the AE22's are a high power handling, medium sensitivity design which work best with high-powered (75 Watt minimum recommended) solid-state amplifiers.
