Easily tune your guitar or bass with the new Korg GT-4. This dedicated guitar/bass tuner automatically detects your instrument's pitch and displays the large note name in the centre of its unique, circular display. Red LEDs rotate around the note name display so that you can easily and quickly zero in on the proper pitch.
Korg GT4 Automatic Guitar and Bass Tuner Main Features
The Korg GT-4 supports seven-string guitars (7B through 1E) in Guitar mode, and six-string basses (Low-B and Hi-C) in Bass mode. It also includes a built-in high-sensitivity mic for acoustic guitars.
Three tuning modes: Strobe, Mirror, and Meter
Select from one of three different tuning modes. In each mode, the red LEDs react differently to indicate when you are in tune.
The red LEDs begin rotating when you play a note on your instrument, and stop when your instrument is in tune. The LED's rotate clockwise if your instrument is sharp or counter-clockwise if your instrument is flat. When the tuning is correct, the two green tuning guides light simultaneously.
With specially programmed illumination technology, the innovative mirror mode uses bright and dim LEDs to guide you to the right pitch. The bright red LEDs indicate the pitch of your instrument: simply tune your instrument to make the bright red LEDs coincide with the dim red LEDs. The bright red LED will move to the right of center if the input pitch is sharp, or to the left if it is flat.
In Meter mode, the centre position indicates the correct tuning, just as on a conventional tuner. The dim red LED indicates 2 Hz steps in the range of 432 Hz--448 Hz to show the amount of pitch discrepancy. In the case of a conventional needle-type meter, the needle always moves from the lowest value. However on the Boss GT-4, the red LED will light at the position corresponding to the input pitch from your instrument, allowing quick tuning.
Quinta-flat tuning mode
The Korg GT-4 supports dropped tunings. Quinta-flat tuning mode lets you detect the pitch for a range of one through five semitones below standard pitch. You can also tune long scale guitars that produce lower pitches than conventional guitars.
Designed for easy operation and low power consumption
The Korg GT-4 is designed for easy operation. Its switches have been carefully placed so that it's easy to operate while you're holding it.
In Strobe mode if approximately thirty seconds have elapsed without any input sound, the rotating red LEDs will go dark. If approximately ten minutes have elapsed with no audio input while powered-on, the power will automatically turn off to prevent unnecessary battery consumption.
