Gibson 57 Classic - Vintage Style Humbucker
Since its introduction, the famous Gibson ‘Patent Applied For’ model of the late 1950’s has been considered the ultimate pickup because of its smooth, velvety tone. The ‘57 Classic uses balanced coils, Alnico II magnet and maple spacers as used on the originals to deliver a creamy, smooth output that sounds rich and full whether it’s clean or overdriven. A pickup with a tone that is ‘true vintage’. It’s warm and responsive, rich in its combination of highs, mids and lows. So authentic that it even carries the original ‘Patent Applied For’ decal on the baseplate.
This pickup is suitable for use in bridge or neck positions. It comes equipped with braided two- conductor wiring and is fully wax potted to eliminate microphonic feedback.
