‘57 Classic Plus Zebra Vintage Style Humbucker
Introduced in the late 1950s, The Gibson ‘Patent Applied For’ models have held the reputation of ‘The Ultimate Pickup’. Their smooth, velvety tone defined the music of the late 1950s.
The Gibson ‘57 Classic Plus recreates that legendary tone. It uses balanced coils that have been slightly overwound, just like the pickups of the 50s that got a few more turns of wire. These extra turns deliver just a little more of that classic tone without sacrificing any of the rich detail.
The Gibson ‘57 Classic Plus even uses the same Alnico II magnets and maple spacers that were used on the originals to deliver that smooth, creamy output that sounds warm and rich whether it’s overdriven or clean.
The Gibson ‘57 Classic Plus is so authentic that it even carries the ‘Patent Applied For’ decal on its baseplate. A pickup that is warm, responsive and rich. The perfect combination of highs, mids and lows.
