The Acoustic Space switch featured on the back of all Mackie HR624mk2 monitors is a useful addition for customising the speaker output to cater for the space that you are working in. For example, if you put the Mackie HR624mk2 in a corner of a room, it's bass characteristics will be different compared to if it is placed centrally along a wall. Therefore, the Acoustic Space switch can be altered between three different settings to avoid muddy or exaggerated low frequency response. If you feel that you need to customise the output of the Mackie HR624mk2 further, then the cabinets also feature switchable high and low frequency filters, to ensure that you get the best possible mix every time, wherever you are working.
