Join us in-store on Thursday 16th May at 7pm where we will be joined by mix engineer Gary Bromham (Björk, Sheryl Crow) and game composer/Propellerhead specialist Mattias Häggström Gerdt, who will be looking at the new and improved Reason 7 DAW software from a producer's perspective, focusing on how the software can inspire you and improve your production techniques. If you're a Reason user or you're thinking about getting it then this event is an absolute must! Oh yeah, and best of all it's completely FREE!
Please note that although this is a free event, registration is required to attend. CLICK HERE to register online - it takes less than a minute. We hope to see you here!
This is one for all you Propellerhead... um... heads! The brand new Reason 7 DAW is now available! Reason 7 allows you to integrate your hardware instruments with the software using the new MIDI out feature, it features intuitive automatic audio slicing and quantize, plus it also allows you to convert your recordings into REX loops for crazy mash-up possibilities!
That's not all though! On top of this, Reason 7 has a new spectrum analyser with visual EQ controls, you can now group and parallel mix channels and there are plenty of other workflow improvements to help you create the perfect track quicker and easier than ever before.
Great news for Reason fans! Reason 7 has been announced today and will be shipping from the beginning of May 2013.
After listening to their end-users, Propellerhead have included in this latest release, features that many customers have been hankering for - including automatic slicing of audio and the ability to create REX loops without the need for ReCycle, a physical MIDI output to connect keyboards and synths, plus parallel and group channels in the mixer.
Reason 7 will also include a device called Automatic Retro Transformer (think Instagram for audio), some hefty upgrades to the included sound bank, plus a visual EQ and spectrum analyser.

We don't have too much information on this one at the moment, but it seems that Propellerhead will soon be launching a brand new iOS app, which is based on the Reason synth engine! Although it isn't as powerful or as feature-packed as the Reason DAW, it is an excellent tool for making music on-the-go when creativity strikes!
Propellerhead have announced a new technology called 'Rack Extensions', which allows third party developers to create instruments and effects for Reason! Hurray! This means that as a Reason/Reason Essentials user, you are no longer limited to the instrument and effect plug-ins that come with the software, and you can now expand your set-up as you see fit!
Propellerhead have announced today that Reason Essentials and the Propellerhead Balance have taken a huge dive in price! You can now purchase Reason Essentials for just £99*! And the Propellerhead Balance interface? That's now available for £279*!
It’s due out at the end of this month, but what is this mysterious new product from the Propellerhead camp? I felt that it was time for me to find out! Please note that this article is a preview, not a review as I haven't used the Balance yet... I'm simply doing some research to inform you of what we can expect when it is released...
