Novation have just announced that they're bringing back a classic! Introducing the Bass Station II - a brand new analogue synth based on the original Bass Station but re-worked for the modern era. I should know because I own one of the originals!
Well, us synth-heads have been treated at NAMM 2013 so far haven't we, what with the announcement of the Korg MS-20 mini, the KingKORG, and now, and arguably most exciting of them all, Dave Smith Instruments have announced that they will be releasing the Prophet 12! This little synth reproduces the original circuitry of the classic MS-20 (1978), including that amazing analogue filter and all those patching options! Yes, that's right, this synth is fully analogue and we're also pleased to announce that it is extremely well priced for such a beast of an instrument!

Not long after Moog announced that they are set to unveil a brand new analogue synth at NAMM 2013, they also leaked this picture, which appeared to show its front panel branded with the name 'Sub Phatty'! We're assuming that the Sub Phatty will join the Phatty series of analogue synthesisers (which currently contains the Little Phatty and Slim Phatty) and judging from the teaser video that Moog also released, it's going to more than live up to its name!
