Hello... I'm Marc... and I'm a gear junky...! I've been playing the guitar and gigging in various bands for many years and in 2012 I got myself a job at Absolute Music to feed my habit and share my passion and knowledge of the products that I know and love. I'm going to use my blog to write short reviews of some of my favourite products to hopefully help others in their quest for finding the right gear for their needs and budget.

Here's a quote that we're very proud to share as it comes from President of Electro-Harmonix and living legend Mike Matthews:
"Absolute Music is one of the BEST Electro-Harmonix dealers in the whole world."
Wow! Mike, you've made us blush! And we're being 100% truthful when we say that we think that Electro-Harmonix make some of the BEST pedals in the whole world too! Their range is simply immense! Can everyone feel the love here?!!
James Tyler Variax guitars aren't your average electric guitar. Their built-in modelling technology means that they can sound like a range of classic electric guitars and you can switch between different tunings with the turn of a dial, as demonstrated in this video with a JTV59P. This makes JTV guitars an ideal studio and live performance instrument, for anyone that requires to switch guitar sounds and tunings but does not have the budget or desire to own multiple different guitars.
An exciting announcement from our guitar department now... we've recently had our first delivery of genuine Japanese ESP guitars, including a super-rare Eclipse-I CTM in Vintage White. This is a UK exclusive and only one of two in the whole world!
Please note that although we try to upload all new guitars onto our website as quickly as possible, there may be some that we have not got round to yet so please pop into our store or give us a call on 01202 597180 to discuss our full range.
If you are unfamiliar with ESP guitars, CLICK HERE to read our article on the company.
From now until 3pm CET (Central European Time) on Friday 17th May 2013, you can grab 9 Maschine expansions for just €99!!! Each expansion is usually €49 each so this equates to a monumental saving! There is a countdown clock on the Native Instruments website indicating when this offer ends so get in there before it hits 'zero' if you want to take advantage of it!
The Maschine Mk2 is a groove production station, modelled on the design of classic samplers. However, its hybrid functionality, which makes use of your computer's processing power, makes it far more flexible and powerful than any fully-hardware equivalent. It's for this reason that Maschine has been adopted by a number of professional artists all over the world, offering an intuitive way to build up beats and whole songs.
