Ok, so you've never owned any version of Pro Tools before and you're not a student or teacher, so can't take advantage of Avid's educational pricing (CLICK HERE for more information on student pricing, CLICK HERE for more information on the teacher pricing). So, your only option is to purchase the full version of Pro Tools 11, the industry standard software for audio recording, for £549 right? Wrong!
If you find yourself in this situation, there are two special bundles that you should certainly consider, both representing superb value for money. Both bundles include an audio interface, an iLok (worth over £30), USB and iOS dock cables (worth £10), Eleven and Moogerfooger software plug-in bundles (worth over £630) AND the full version of Pro Tools 11... and get this... the most expensive of these bundles is the same price as Pro Tools 11 on its own (£549) and the cheapest of these bundles is just £449 - that's £100 cheaper than buying Pro Tools 11 on its own!
No brainer? We think so! Read on to find out more!
We're pleased to announce that we are now an official Strymon dealer! These pedals sound totally awesome and we've got them on demo in store if you don't believe us and fancy trying them out for yourself. We've got a great range of these pedals in, from the Lex Rotary pedal, the Flint Tremolo and Reverb, the Mobius Multi-modulation pedal, the Orbit dBucket Flanger and loads more! I heard the El Capistan dTape delay the other day (read on to watch a video on it) and I was completely blown away by how good it sounds. I'd love to give these pedals a go with some of my synths as well as a guitar!
Well, who's this? It's only legendary drummer Russ Miller with Jenna and Austin from our drum department! We were extremely excited to welcome Russ to Absolute Music last week for a special drum clinic in association with Mapex Drums, where he showcased his skills, dished out tips and showed off the new Saturn IV drum kit. I think that it's fair to say that everyone that attended the clinic thoroughly enjoyed themselves and came away feeling inspired.

If you ever play on a slippy surface then the Drum Web is an essential piece of kit as it will allow you to play naturally, without having to worry about your kit moving around all over the place! Check it out in the video below when it was reviewed by Modern Drummer Magazine.
Let us introduce you to Will Jackson, producer and engineer for bands such as the Kaiser Chiefs, The Pigeon Detectives and The Cribs. Will is the proud owner of two Helios microphones, which he admits that he uses on pretty much anything and everything, from vocals to drums; two Orpheus mics, which he cites as being excellent for recording acoustic guitar, electric guitar and as drum overheads; and a Sigma for guitar amps and acoustic instruments.
